ProEx – Precision programming for the technology that matters.

Why Offline Programming?

Reduced Risk

IC Programming is completed in a controlled ProEx environment using locked processes, verified algorithms, and strict data handling procedures—minimizing exposure to line errors, operator variation, and IP risk.

Programming environments incorporate controlled access workflows, encrypted data transfer and storage practices, and documented job configuration management to ensure repeatability and protection of customer firmware and security credentials.

Faster Time to Production

Devices arrive programmed, verified, and packaged to your specification, allowing your SMT or final assembly lines to start immediately.

ProEx offers standard lead times of three business days or less for many orders, with same-day First Article capability and rush processing options available based on job complexity and capacity.

Scalable & Repeatable

Whether you need a few hundred units or millions, offline programming ensures consistent results across every lot, every order.

Historical automation investments have supported annual programming capacity in the tens of millions of devices, and ProEx continues to operate high-throughput automated systems designed to scale from prototype volumes to sustained production demand.

No Impact to Your Line

No equipment investment. No training burden. No production
interruptions. Offline programming eliminates SMT line programming bottlenecks and reduces programming-induced yield risks by separating firmware loading from assembly operations.

Program and Data Control

ProEx utilizes structured First Article verification, Job Master configuration locking, and controlled revision management to ensure production runs match approved samples with zero deviation between lots. After First Article approval, programming parameters are locked to prevent unauthorized changes.

ProEx also supports secure provisioning workflows including sequential serial numbering, randomized serial generation, MAC address injection, encryption key loading, UID programming, and cryptographic root-of-trust establishment written to protected memory regions.

ProEx references Data I/O SentriX provisioning systems for secure key injection workflows, which incorporate hardware-backed security modules and encrypted handling of OEM secrets.

First Article Verification

ProEx produces a controlled First Article sample using both customer-supplied data files and configuration parameters, validating programmed output against expected checksums and functional requirements before production volumes are release. Same-day First Article processing is then available for qualifying programs.

High Throughput Programming

ProEx operates automated programming platforms from DediProg, Elnec, and other leading manufacturers.

Programming time per device ranges from seconds to several minutes depending on device complexity, memory density, firmware size, verification depth, and security provisioning steps.

Inspection and Traceability

ProEx integrates automated 2D and 3D optical inspection into its programming and tape & reel workflows. 2D inspection verifies device orientation, surface condition, and placement integrity, while 3D optical inspection and laser-assisted profiling detect coplanarity issues, bent leads, dimensional deviations, and mechanical anomalies.

Serialized programming records can be retained as part of the production job file to enable lot-level traceability and historical reference.

Production Ready

ProEx offers marking services including laser marking, labeling, and ink dot marking as part of production-ready output preparation.

Devices can be repackaged into tray, tube, or tape & reel formats according to customer specifications. Tape & reel services follow EIA-481 and JEDEC packaging standards.

ProEx also provides JEDEC-compliant bake and dry packaging services for moisture-sensitive devices (MSL), including controlled bake cycles, moisture barrier bags, desiccant, humidity indicator cards, and vacuum sealing to reset floor life prior to shipment.
